The Phone Project was a collaborative call-in composition utilizing a voice mail system to gather sounds and performed micro-scores. So I finally managed to get the content uploaded to another server. It's going to be limited bandwidth for now so all of you T1 types won't be very happy. We will see how if goes. I have some plans for servers in the future so I will keep everyone updated.
By the way FTP is also down. That's the hardest thing to figure out. I really want people to be able to FTP and be able to grab all they want but it's getting harder and harder to control. I'm probably going to have a daily generated password to be able to get in. The problem isn't as much people coming from mp3it as people who find it via FTP search engines. | |

recorded in the fall of 1998, finished in the summer of '99, this horrific unpolished project has finally reared it's basement tapes. guaranteed high fidelity in "360" hemispheric sound, "Featuring the Insects" is real. it is raw.good it isn't, but it catches your ear, something you can't deny! what started as a FLAPPING JET selling tool for major labels was a failure at the initial time of release. a major dispute between the many different artists in this "FLAPPING JET ALL STAR" group and the head of FLAPPING JET MUSIC, Max Bristol, "Featuring the Insects" was scrapped>....picked up by mp3it.com these featured tracks from the February "ISHINO THE DESTROYER" sessions and rare other loose cuts are here for your listening pleasure. Well I finally found the DAT tape with recording we made at Gravity Records in '95 I think. We mixed a rough copy for us to hear and in the process of things the master tapes got erased. So all we had left was a very rough mix on a cassette. I backed that up to DAT and then made mp3's from it. Remember it's a a rough mix and theres some wow and flutter on the cassette. Either way it was the best recording we had. | |
